As the Firm’s COO, Jeff provides input on and oversight of the strategic, operational and day-to-day activities of the Firm. He also works closely with the managing partner and other partners of the Firm to execute on the Firm’s vision and goals for improvement and growth. Jeff’s goals are to: (1) empower the Firm’s attorneys to do what they do best: seek, source and develop client relationships and then provide those clients with high-end legal service; and (2) inspire, lead and serve all of the Firm’s employees in their efforts to provide exceptional service to their clients and customers (whether internal or external to the Firm) in a collegial, professional and team-oriented environment.

Jeff previously spent 32 years at Andrews Kurth, an international law firm and one of the largest in Houston. As a partner in that firm for more than two decades, his practice focused on out-of-court restructurings and commercial bankruptcy proceedings for a variety of clients. Jeff also served in many leadership capacities, including hiring partner and co-chair of that firm’s finance committee, and as Executive Director for his last several years there.

His career as an attorney gives Jeff a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the Firm’s lawyers. However, he also draws on years of law firm management experience, making him an ideal fit as the Firm’s COO.
