Emily is an Associate in the Austin office of Ytterberg Deery Knull LLP. She concentrates her practice on domestic and cross-border estate and tax planning for individuals, families, and fiduciaries. She regularly advises clients on federal gift and estate tax issues, with a particular focus on matters involving hard-to-value assets (e.g., artwork, closely held business interests, and other intangible assets). Her work in estate planning emphasizes the implementation of sophisticated strategies designed to manage and preserve wealth, with a focus on minimizing estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
In addition, Emily has wide-ranging experience representing high-net worth individuals and businesses in complex tax controversy matters involving disputes and litigation with the Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service.
