International Planning

Wealthy United States and foreign families are often involved in cross-border transactions.  A primary example of this is the formation and ongoing operation of a trust outside the United States with beneficiaries and assets in the United States.  This type of transaction presents a variety of multi-jurisdictional planning issues.

Advising wealthy clients on multi-jurisdictional planning issues requires a special level of expertise.  Our attorneys have extensive experience in advising and counseling U.S. and foreign clients on a multitude of international planning issues.  We work closely with the clients' global advisors, often assisting in the selection and management of the advisor team.
